The First Year Consortium On Time

Between February and April of 2012, we are planning to convene the first Consortium On Time. Time, and our use of time, should benefit us. Yet, for two millennia, we have conformed to the measure of time given to us by men of a previous Age. It is time we revisit the time construct of the past and determine its benefit or lack thereof.

One of our primary considerations must be the beginning of each day at the stroke of midnight. This is an utter absurdity. Further, the beginning of each new year with a ten second countdown in the last minute of an hour that occurs in the dead of night and in the dead of winter is also quite absurd. As humans, we have the right to change this. As keepers of the legacy of countless future generations, we must accept the responsibility to change this.

We owe nothing to the maintenance of the non-sense of yesterday, once we have studied it and found it to be non-sense. Updates on this event will be forth-coming.
